Bratz dolls are fashion dolls that were launched by MGA Entertainment in 2001. They are known for having big heads, melodic eyes, full lips, and quite often ethnicities other than Caucasian. Bratz dolls initially targeted "tween girls," a demographic that had not been targeted by previous fashion doll lines, such as Barbie, Monster High, or other existing dolls. The four original Bratz girls are named Cloe, Sasha, Yasmin, and Jade. The dolls gained popularity quickly and became a global phenomenon, with Bratz dolls and their merchandise being sold in over 80 countries around the world. The Bratz girls were eventually adapted into animated series, movies, and video games as their popularity continued.
